Thank you for making our first year a success. As most of you are aware in 2017 Safety Screens became the first and only provider of mesh security screens in Dubai and across the UAE. The year saw us bring in the first batch of screens to customers in Dubai and these screens have proven to be a great success. We have received excellent feedback on the screens and know that there are many villa owners now sleeping safe at night with their glass doors open and screens locked.

Of course the talk of the town for the New Year is the impact of VAT. Safety Screens products will also be subject to the 5% VAT. As such, for every 1,000 AED cost, customers will be required to pay 50 AED VAT. We understand that some people will be concerned about the extra costs. However, as we live in a country with no income tax, we feel this is a small price to pay for the excellent infrastructure provided to us by the UAE government. The total cost of VAT will be clearly displayed on all our mesh screen product invoices so you can see the exact cost breakdown. We understand that this will make our screens slightly more expensive and we will endeavour to keep our prices as reasonable as possible.
