All Safety Screen products have been designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with strict Australian Security Standards. The screens exceeded the following Australian Security Standards (AS 5039 and 5041) tests:
All quality control and testing is conducted by Meshtec in their internationally accredited test facility. All mesh and other products pass the tough Australian Standards (AS) testing for mesh security doors. By purchasing our mesh products, you are ensuring that you have a genuine high quality stainless steel and aluminium security screen manufactured by Meshtec International and not a cheap Chinese imitation.
A strand of wire from every batch of raw stainless steel wire roll is put through a full testing process. This ensure that the wire meets the quality control standards before being weaved into the premium mesh that we are known for.
Here is a video of the screens completing some of the Standards testing in Meshtec’s production facility in Thailand.
The screens are subject to the Australian Standard AS 5041 Dynamic Impact test. This means that a heavy weight is swung at the screen multiple times and the screen must not bend or break out of its frame.
In this video you can see us repeatedly hitting a screen with a bat. On this particular day we hit the screen more than 500 hundred times and there was no visible damage to the mesh or frame.
