Another one of our key staff is Chris who is an experienced mechanical engineer. Chris has a background in security doors and frames and was a perfect fit for Safety Screens as the company launched back in 2017. He’s been developing and refining some of our processes and systems and helps keep the owners on track who tend to get excited about doing everything!
Over the last few months we’ve had lots of requests for pet doors. Due to the security rating and construction techniques of the screens, cutting a hole for a pet door has proven difficult. Any break in the integrity of the mesh will obviously affect the overall strength of the door. However over recent weeks our metalsmiths have been working hard on a number of pet door prototypes.
