Once the first batch of screens were installed it was time to get back to setting up our warehouse. We had a few back orders that we’d accumulated over the last few months but we can’t fabricate these screens until we have all the machinery in place, tested and operating perfectly.

Things seem to take a lot longer than expected in Dubai!

There was still a huge amount of work to be done to get the warehouse fully operational. Some of the setup tasks included having three phase power installed, ordering the specialist machinery and tools, purchasing an air compressor and installing the numerous lines, junctions and regulators, building racking for the raw materials, building workbenches, and on the list goes. It’s been busy every day as contractors come and go, delivery trucks arrive with machines, and the constant flow of salesmen dropping in as they’ve heard there’s a new business setting up and spending money!

It’s actually been a bit frustrating that the setup has taken this long. When we took our first few orders, we had informed our customers that installation was likely to occur in November or possibly early December. Now it looks like we’re not going to be ready for a few more weeks so that means installation will now occur mid January. We certainly appreciate the support from these first customers and will only deliver a quality product once its ready for the public market.
