There could be worse places in the world for a training course!
Last week we headed off to Thailand to complete fabrication training at the screen manufacturers facility. Here the team learnt how to custom build each model of screen using the patented assembly process.
After reviewing the full product range, we discussed the engineering and design that goes into each screen. Each screen is also stringently tested following the strict Australian standards for security screen doors. This ensures by the time a screen is available to the public that there is no chance of failure. The screens also come with a 10 year warranty which says a lot about the trust we all have in the quality of the screens.
Next we spent a few days working ‘on the floor’ going through the full assembly process. This included the cutting of the aluminium profiles, routing of holes for locks, mesh fixing and securing to the frame, door assembly, lock fitting, cleaning and the final quality assurance testing. The team did an incredible job taking in a very detailed fabrication process to produce their own screen doors.
We also spent a bit of time discussing machinery and tooling options as the patented assembly process requires some proprietary tools to ensure compliance. Some of these are a significant investment and we wanted to ensure we set up our facility in Dubai correctly.
